Mining Process
Identifing the gold mines.
Once the gold mines have been identified, men start by digging down using local tools upto like 800 meters to reach the actual gold deposit. There are about 300 men digging out the soil containing the gold on one site. We have about 7 mines on one hill rich in gold.
The soil is passed from under ground to the surface. This method is risky due to lack of good technology and it is not efficient. In so, we use generators to generate light and breating air used by the gold miners undegound.
Transportation.
The gold dust is transported by a vehicle to the processing area. We face a challenge during the course due to poor roads in the areas.
Drying the gold dust.
The gold dust is then spread out to dry on plastic sheets under the sun. The drying is easier during the dry the season due to the sun.
Grinding.
The gold dust and rock rich in gold are then grinded into fine consistency similar to flour. We use a few powered motors to generate rock crushing force to grind the dust. This method is slow and very expensive due to lack of advanced technology.
The manufacturing line is also affected if one of the employees falls sick for more than a week.
Transfer the soil to deep pounds.
The soil is transfered to deep pounds to gather iron by filtering the dirt with basins before using mercury to collect it. The gold ie reavealed once the iron is burnt. We do repeat the steps to collect more gold.
Mercury vapour is dangerous to human life. One employee burns the iron for only one week, takes a break and another collegues takes on the burning process.
Recycle the soil.
We recycle the soil once more from the Z platform to collect it with mercury and get gold the second time. With the use of water, the soil is broken to sink to the surface. The tanks are filled with dirt from the Z platform where the dirt is combined with chemicals like sodium to extract more gold for the third time.
